Entry #11 Blogging

When it comes to blogging I highly enjoy giving everyone the chance to read my  blogs. It gives me the chance to express my writing with out being limited. It opens a way to express my self from self generating topics. I cant say that I did take the whole experience completely seriously only because towards the end I began to feel as if I was being repetitive. From that I gave up towards the end of the last blogs. Through blogging many benefits come from expressing ones self. No one begins to feel couped up on things and actions they want to say or express from not being able to include what they want to write in their assignments. The only challenges from this would be that if anyone begins to procrastinate, when time comes up for it to be due they have a lot of blogs to work on and just give up. What I learned about blogging from this class what to tell em what your going to tell em, tell em, and tell em what you told em. This opened up my writing to be a lot more detailed and a lot more me. Although it might sound cheesy it makes sense and lately from my writing I know that it has been a lot more precise. Blogging has changed my experience with writing by opening up ways to connect my self with my writing projects. In blogging it allows your self to be your self with out anyone judging. Blogging was a successfully tool for this class. As I mentioned it gives students a way to open up and express themselves.

Entry #8 Sleep

Lately with finals on the way you hear a lot of complaining on how student don't get enough sleep. There skipping out on sleep because they use the excuse of having to much homework. Although everyone knows the truth, electronics and internet are the major problem nowadays. There the reason why students are not getting enough sleep. On average a teenager needs about 8-9 hours of sleep. When they decide to watch that one last video, which then leads to multiply videos. In the end you end up watching 2 hours of sleep and forget what sleep even is.

People are so caught up on other things they forget what the most important thing is SLEEP!!! 

Sleep more trust me its not bad for you. If anything its probably the best thing that will ever happen to you. 

Entry #6 GT- R

Have you ever hear of the Nissan GT-R? One of the best affordable cars ever. Like how come up with he ideas for thee cars.... Like damn they are so dope. Everything about them is interesting. Did you know they max at 180 mph, I can never see my self going that fast but if I ever had the chance I would not hesitate. The reach 60 mph at 2.4 seconds, imagine the launch on that car. I bet you could make someone shit their pants with one launch! That would be the funniest thing ever! All stock it comes twin turbo, TWIN TURBO giving the car 650 horse power. Now I think I am fast in my Honda which tops out at 130 mph. It has V-Tec but nothing compared to twin turbo. I don't know if i would ever have a car like that in my life time, but if I had a chance I would diffidently take the GT-R. 

Just look at this beauty! Its a daily driver, but also used as a super car. WOW, how dope is that? Dope As Fuck that's how dope. 

Entry #5 Shorter Classes

As I am reading this article on shortening classes it make me think of my hybrid Eng102 class. ASU is debating on shortening classes and making it much cheaper to attend there. Meaning that it would be less time consuming and less money for college students. When you think of it is it that bad. Like really I take a class that only last 8 weeks long. Actually I take two and it isn't that bad. It makes it so I have more time to do what I need to do through out the week. Sure its a lot more school work because of the time that I have. It teaches me how to manage my time right and still have time set aside for what i need to d. Class is short and much quicker, but in the end it all depends on how much I decided to pay attention. Everyone is still staring together. Also at the end of the class they would have finished a class that so quick, student would be able to move right on to the next class. Making it so that would have to attend only 3 years of college. I love hybrid classes much more work, but look I am already into next semesters classes. It gives me a chance to move on quicker to what I want to do.

Entry #4 Galaxy S 6 Edge +

Galaxy S 6 Edge Plus. I know right a super long name for just one phone. I just got this phone and it has done nothing but good to me. Except I hardly even know anything about it. What I know so far is that it is a larger version of all the regular Galaxy phones. It has a curved edge that is good for side bar use. As the I Phone it has the Finger lock where you can lock on the home button and unlock it with out having to type in a code. It still has the same USB charger that allows super rapid charge. Its a 5.7 inch super Amoled display what ever that means. Most likely the size of the phone. 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution meaning the quality of the camera. With the edge the phone takes a leap at trying something different making the phone unique from the rest. The screen is so much more clean. Making it clear to see it in daylight, much lighter at night to see in the dark. and the options to change the contrast of color on the phone to see at any time of if you just want to change the setting. Although I feel like it needed more features making the phone more interesting to use. That was the exact same reason why I didn't get the I Phone because I didn't want to be limited on what i wanted to do.

Entry #3 Slanted Reporting

As I am reading this article on California valley solar ranch. many slanted reporting was going on. As the NY Times made the story of these solar panels costing great amounts of money, when in reality they costed much less than in the article. I am guessing writers d this to spice it up a little and get more of a bias reach through out social media. making it so that they stretch the truth a little, by giving them a little extra attention. As I read about slanted reporting I see that its more of a lie. It is like when that "best friend" stretches the truth a little about what happened when you were together either making you look bad or making you look good. Usually when stretching the truth like that revolves around being bad.

Entry #2 Birthdays

Tomorrow is my mothers Birthday. She is turning a certain age that I can not speak of on here or she would kill me! Like I understand you're my mom and I love you with all my heart but I never understood birthdays. I guess its just because I am older now and there isn't really gifts. If anything there is nothing but happy birthday post on social media. People you don't even know just teling you happy birthday, and even family and close friends just tell you happy birthday through a post! Like what ever happened to calling them and saying hows your day, and then leading into saying happy birthday. Call me old fashion, but I don't even think birthdays even exist any more. Sooooooo! for tonight I am throwing the biggest family party for her. My mother deserves to know what it like to be surrounded by close family. Shes going to have the best time of her night waking up to actually parting wanting to do that night all over again.

Entry #1 Overview On Blogs

One blog i really enjoyed was The recall on the TDI Volkswagen. As I was reading the blog it was well set up and had lots of informations to tell about why the car is being recalled. The car itself was cheating on emissions. Which means that it was over populating the earth's atmosphere than regulated. Caling the government to take actions. In the blog they have it well set up with they why VW gives their information. Its influencing you to take a look at how they are going to fix the issue with the car itself. It sets a tone where they inform of something that is bad, meaning the issue of the car, and how they are going to fix it. Even though it is going to cost millions! In the end they blog is informative has links to chose on if you want to find out more about this car and everything about the emissions.

 For the second blog that I read had a lot to say about it. I was so pissed about the fact that Nicki Minaj would do something like that. She waved her wand at a disabled man in a wheelchair commanding him to walk. As for the blog its TMZ its just informative just giving pointless informations on dumb acts by famous people. It gives you links but not set up as well. Everything is scatted in the blog. It just makes it look sloppy and out of place. There are no picture o this blog explaining why or what she did that for. There's no back up information just jumping straight into conclusions of what Nicki was doing.

Introducing my self.

Hi, my name is Alex Mendoza. I am 19 years old with a big heart for being a veterinarian. That's why i am here attending GCC, because not only are they the only ones who have this program but they are super cheap. I have always had a passion for animal, growing up in a small farm in Texas really opened my eyes that taking care of animals was really interesting and has a lot of great benefits. I moved here to Arizona to get a fresh start in life. Just got away from everything and started a whole new life brand new. My interest are very simple, I love working out! I have to make sure that I am keeping my self active or I tend to get bored quick. I also love cars sense I was at a very small age, I have always been able to fix them or even just motify them in any kind of way. Yeah... I live with my parents still just way cheaper and saves me lots of money. Well that's me!

Entry #11 Blogging

Do I like blogging? I mean I could, but it would take a lot of effort for me to actually sit here and just blog about my everyday life, or even just something in general. I could have taken the blogging more serous instead of just making sure I get them done. I guess if i really had to admit, yeah I like it because I was able to freely speak and write how I wanted to write. Learning stuff from this blogging exercise was interesting, I learned facts and truths of things, but also that I was limitless. If I think this blogging exercise was helpful and valuable I would have to say yess! Only reason I would say yess is because people could learn how to actually write freely 1 but also enjoy it and take a break from the old gerontological order the writing was. Comments about this blogging activity was that it should be more clear when wanting to comment on someone's blog. I don't know if it was because i had a lot of trouble with my computer but I was hardly even able to comment on others blogs and it would lower my grade a little. But as an over all view it helped me express myself and in my writing. Which was able to push me to think further than just doing just an assignment

Entry #10 Commitment

Alright lets get a little corny in this entry. Time to talk about commitment in a relationship or mostly just staying committed to anything. Commitment, what is it? What does it stand for? Commitment - The state of quality of being dedicated to a cause. activity, etc. Usually when mos think of this noun, they think of a relationship. Which they aren't wrong, that's where it is most needed and wanted. In a relationship both think of how long they are willing to be together. When in reality it all depends on how long they are willing to stay committed to this significant other. If both are out doing something with out one another, they would expect to be able to know that the other in the relationship is committed to each other and they wont have to worry about anyone cheating on each other. Even though it is mostly about trust and being able to trust someone with all your might that person wants to know that your going to give it your all when it comes down to it, and not just back out as soon as the relationship starts going bad. No matter how bad it gets the person has to be willing to get through it all with their partner no matter how stupid, irrelevant, or even how personal.  Ones business becomes the others business, and has to deal with it no matter; if they like it or not. 

Entry #9 McDonald's Good or Bad

Wow! I had no idea that I was eating "Pink Slime" for a while. Like are you kidding me i just thought it was myth, watching this video was such a let down! McDonald's is ruthless, they will do anything for money. It is honestly super disgusting! It's crazy to know that when they have a dollar menu it's because the products they are making is so cheep. When you think about it, they have a special where you can give 20 dollars fro 50 chicken nuggets! I was eating them all. Like how can they not stop and think on why this is bad. ughhh if I ever have the chance talk to the CEO of McDonald's I swear I am going to give them a piece of mind. If one chef can do and only him imagine if it was everyone we could really stand against them and see how we could make sure they are keeping their word and giving non disgusting pink slime food to everyone. If its true that fast food in other countries have regulations I would not mind eating over there, here people eat anything!
The thing is eventually I will probably end up eating there again. As nasty as its set to be it tends to be very good also, and good is always better then bad.

Entry #8 Fast and the Furious

Fast and the Furious has made seven of the most greatest movies ever! How is it that some cars, actions, and great actors were able to create some of the best movies this world has ever had. It's crazy how they were able to start the movie off of some small idea of racing. I guess when you think about it, they did involve guns and a lot of attractive scenes. The story is insane, just like on the 6th one Fast 6 they are trying to catch the bad guy. Keep in mind they in a different country so they were limited to fast and unique cars. They ended up just taking some pretty nice BMW's, they weren't the fastest nor fit for the job but yet they still made them work. Through out the scene they are chasing the bad guy "Shaw" and his car is like some kind of self made car that is super lite and fast. In the front of the hood it lifts as a ramp so that if he wanted to Shaw could ram a car and ether go under him or flip the car. Through out that part in the movie everything is tricky so the good guys on the team which is about 6 people have to find a way to adapt to this new home made car. Even though they bad team had more of the new tech. The good team was able to catch them and find out what kind of people they were after. It wasn't their topical bad guys, and usually they are they bad guys, but after being traded on teams it was time ti bring out the big guns and see how the good team good find out how to beat them on there own turf! Through out the movie, and the end they win, they lose one good person one the good team which was the saddest part of the movie but with out losing one person they could have lost the whole world.

Entry #7 Fresh

In class we watched this movie/video called Fresh. Over all it was a pretty good video. It does have its up and downs in the process but it was good. I really enjoined it. Through out the video, it informed the audience to see the difference between industrial farming from farming the right way. The video did a pretty good idea showing the purpose of this film. Know one does know, like really know the difference and why industrial farming is bad, dangerous, and just cruel. One part in the video people that had owned an industrial farm had a chicken coop, but 10x bigger than just one for like hundred hens; it probably had over thousands. As the owner was putting them in the coop, instead of just setting them down gently they would just throw them to flow like the hens were nothing. It was hard to watch something so true and to actually believe that this is really happening now. If the video was able to inspire my self, then the whole world would be the audience. If this is happening now its most likely that this video was made for everyone to think twice about what they are eating and actually make a change or stand against it. The way this film make me feel would be horrified and disgusted with the stuff I am eating on a daily basis. It kind of make me want to go on strike or go against what they believe in. Even know its not possible but get everyone in on it and go against it. this film did a good job on getting their audiences attention. With out a doubt this video matters because i shows the truth on what we eat, and the process it is to make it.

Entry #6 Working at Discount Tire

Working at Discount Tire. Oh my god how awful it is, I hate it with passion I thought that it would be better when I first got the job because everybody seem so excited when I got there. They had smiles on their faces and everyone seemed to be in fit because of all the exercise every doing on lifting tires. It was June the 15th and I had just got this new job I was super excited because they had offered to pay me $9.50 after I had just got done getting paid $8.25 from JCPenney. Although JCPenney was a good job it never seemed to fit me. I was always the type to be more engaged in work, and Discount Tire kept me busy. It makes me tired when I go home but I then when you think About it I like it because of all the excise i get from this job. I guess when you think about it is a pretty good job. Its just the people I work with I have a manager that sucks he's never engaging in always bags on what we did wrong instead of congratulating us on what we did right. He tends to pick favorites and those who are not his favorite have to suffer through a boring day. My coworkers are mostly cool except for the ones that take their job way too seriously. For example I have a friend named Terry I guess you can call him an acquaintance, because honestly if it ever came down to it I'd probably would fight him if ever provoked. He likes to be super competitive and never likes to have fun. He always make sure that he's the first and never last, always tries to make himself look better by doing what he's told instead of having fun while he doing it. He just does it to do it, and I guess that what my manager looks for. But then I have my other coworker who is really awesome his name is Daniel we tend to have a lot of fun throughout the day. When were competitive we try to see who can change a tire faster. If the boss tells us to do something we do it but we also add some fun to it just to make the day more interesting. Whenever we race we try to see you can take the tire off from the car, change it, balance the tire, and put it back on in less than 10 minutes. Keep in mind there's four tires on a car both of us get to two. We don't want to keep customers waiting so we try to get them out as fast as possible. Also it makes the store look good. This is a process throughout the day. Our super long day consist of working from 7 am to 7 pm. A 12 hour shift with only a 30 minute break! That's the bad part of working there. Also we do so much exercise in this job, and to be honest there is so much that goes down at the job. Discount Tire  actually has you learn it on the computer before you actually start to engage in the back room. That's where everything happens. It's two very long weeks.When the user is starting they have to be on a computer that tells you exactly what to do, and what not to do. Then they test the user to see how much you have learned. If they pass a test then they are able to be paid more which is only a $0.50 raise but still more. Then send the user to the back room where they are able to change a tire and start they're everyday job.

Entry #5 Wall-E

This film Was one of the most desired from Disney. Every time I watch this clip of Wall-E, it's just like wow! Is that what this society has become. If people can put this into a movie on how the world is now, they were spot on. Its crazy that its true people are blind when it comes to technology. Its like people are talking bad of are generation. The thing is are they really talking bad of it, or is it the whole truth. Of course no one sits on a floating chair with a screen in there face and do absolutely nothing, but this would is right about there. Technology plays a big part in life now but not as bad as it does in the movie Wall-E. Its awesome and crazy how people can relate to this short clip. A lot of people now these day do really nothing. Don't look, or when they do they can leave technology behind. Technology is everyone's right hand and anyone who says its not is lying. Everyone is simply blind. They can't see whats really in front of them. Although is has it's great things, it makes people lazy in life. There are many parts in the clip where the people would rely on technology to shade them or even help them up because they were to fat or just lazy. All anyone had to do was clap and boom! It happened. There is a funny part also where two people are next to each other and they are just talking threw a video camera, when there are 3 feet away from each other. In reality it happens in the real world people will be so close to each other talk threw a phone or camera instead of engaging in the moment. Also where Wall-E broke Mary's chair and she could finally see the truth of what was around her and what was going on. people now days can relate hard core many get so caught up in cyber space that they forget to see what around them, but when they do its so awesome their eyes just pop!

Entry #4 Grand Am Gt

Back in high school, having a car was the main priority. It was as if you had a car you were the cool one. Well that what I thought at least. Freshman year all that my mind was set on was before the school year end I am going get a car I am going to get a car. I saved up as little as I could, never had my goal a main goal so I would spend the money on non sense. When I was finally able to work I was able to get my permit. did play it out smart so there was never any money in saving for a car. Work was a struggle, having to ask people for rides like friends or family would irritate me because I didn't have my own vehicle to transport me to where I needed to be. All of sophomore year was a struggle, but little by little money was entering saving. Jr. year came by and still no car I was most disappointed in my self that for these last three years I had no car. Watching people drive and not having to walk in the hot sun would kill me. Mother would tell me patients soon you will have one and not have to worry about walking or being late any where anymore. As much as I hated hearing the word patients I knew she was right. The end of Jr. year comes rolling by and its getting close to my birthday. I would always ask her to buy her car off of her, it was a red Grand Am Gt. 

-Al thought This isn't exactly would my car looked liked. It was very quite similar. Maxed out at 150/mph. It was a cherry red. Same wheels as in the picture. The hood was flat not the same as in the photo. But OMGG!!! how i 

She would always tell me no that she needed it or that she wanted me to buy a newer car something more reliable. We could never find anything in my budget so eventually she said fine you can have the red car, but instead of buying the car from her? She gave it to me for free! How awesome is that. She was just like "here you go son, I know how hard you've been working for a car, and I think that you deserve this one." I was free I had a car!!! The first thing I did was take it to my friends house and just rubbed it in there face. As much as I hated that, they had cars already so they wouldn't feel as bad as I did. The car eventually ended up having a lot of problems wasn't able to afford it, so had to get rid of it. As hard it was it happened, killed me inside but I know the new owner would be able to provided the need that the car needed. 

Entry #3 Electric Cars

Nissan Leaf a fully electric car. This upgraded car has some of the best features that a normal car would have. Its an electric car that needs ti be charged instead of using gasoline. The car it's self has the same features that an everyday regular car would have. It has a Navigation system that works the same from getting  the consumer from point a to point b. The car it self is has a built in hands free texting which help when driving so no one has to be distracted when driving. Many people were worried that this electric would take up a lot of charge and not be able to afford In 2012 it would take forever if you wanted to charge an electric car, now Nissan was able to bring worth this car called the Leaf which is twice as fast to charge then it did before, and super Eco friendly. Any forward-thinking consumers looking to cut back on high fuel bill which helps, also when it come to the pollution using gas or any kind of oiled production will be cut back. Therefore, this car would be doing the world a favor. 

Also there are some negatives about this Nissan Leaf. As much as it is Eco friendly it still does use up a lot of charge. Charging the car at home would raise your electric bill and then just would still end up costing the same as a regular gas powered car would. Gas, as bad as it is, there are places everywhere that help you not run out of it when your going on a trip or even driving somewhere as simple as just going to work. That means that the world is still focused more on gas powered cars than an electric car. With an electric car you would only have a variety of places to charge you car, and even though the car is electric it still would take some time to charge it as a phone would. That only gives consumers of this car a limited range of places to drive, and they also have to make sure that they are fully charged before they hit the road. Some places, such as Kohl's, have charging stations for electric cars. If more places do this in the future it would make electric cars a better option.

Entry #2 Losing One and Gaining Another

As a dog lover, this summer was one of the best and worst times in my life.  First of all, let me tell you about Pookie.  Pookie is the dog I've had since I was a child.  We got Pookie when she was only a few days old.  I was in 7th grade.  She was my childhood pet and I loved her just like I would love any member of my family.  This summer, we welcomed a new puppy to the family, a little dog I named Mila.  Pookie and Mila were friends right away. But one morning, when I was training Mila on how to sit and stay, Pookie got loose out front and darted out to the street.  She must have been chasing something because this was unusual behavior for her.  I grabbed for her to stop her and got ahold of her back leg, but she screeched in pain so I let her go because I was afraid I was going to break her leg.  Then the worst thing happened: Pookie ran out in front of a car and was killed.  I saw the horrible scene unfold in front of my eyes.  I couldn't believe it.  I was devastated as I ran to the street to see my best friend lying there lifeless.  This was honestly one of the hardest days of my life so far.  I know some people won't understand this, but some people who love dogs the way I do will.

After losing Pookie, the one silver lining was that I still had Mila to love and comfort me.  But just a few days later, my puppy Mila started to act sick.  She wouldn't eat.  She had watery diarrhea and acted very lethargic.  I took her to the animal emergency room right away.  She took a turn for the worse in the exam room and started spilling bloody water everywhere.  The vet did a parvo test and Mila tested positive.  My puppy had parvo, a horrible disease most puppies don't survive.  I burst into tears at the thought of losing both of my pets.  I felt at fault.  I let go of Pookie and she was run over.  And I hadn't finished all of Mila's vaccinations yet and now she had parvo.  It was a difficult day.

The vet at the pet ER went over our options. He said we could make her comfortable and let nature take its course over the next day or two, or we could put her to sleep, or we could treat her if we had a lot of money to spend.  But even with treatment, they said her chances were still only about 50/50.  I didn't have a lot of money, but I borrowed from everyone I could borrow from and decided to treat Mila.  She was up and down for days.  She had good days and then all of a sudden it was looking bad again.  It was heart wrenching.  The further we got into treatment with IV fluids and antibiotics the further we got into debt.  I even took out a credit card just for the vet.  After 5 anxious days, Mila was standing up.  Then she drank a tiny little dribble of water.  Then some broth.  And finally she was sniffing meat!  I was at the vet every day with her watching over her and spending time with her, hoping it would cheer her up.  After one week passed, I got the best news I could have hoped for: the vet said she was looking healthy enough to come home!  

After the horrible time losing Pookie and watching Mila suffer for days and going through hell to come up with money, it was all going to be worth it.  Mila came home and grew stronger and stronger every day.  She started eating again.  She started playing again.  She started running around like a crazy puppy again.  It was the best I could have hoped for after going through what felt like the worst time I could have imagined.  Today I am thankful that my Mila is healthy and crazy and full of love.  I couldn't ask for more than that!

Entry #1 The Good and Bad of Blogs

The first blog I read was "Uber Dresses up Dodge Chargers as Star Wars Stormtroopers, Marches on Manhattan" from car and driver.com. This blog talks about Uber, the ridesharing company, dressing up Dodge Chargers as Stormtroopers, and giving free rides to people of New York to celebrate the release of the new Star Wars movie merchandise. Some reasons why this blog was so interesting to me are because the blog was short, it had pictures of the cars dressed up as Stormtroopers, and how I just like the cars in general.

The second blog I read had to do about being healthy. It was called "Beautiful and Light Fruit Salad" on a blog website called The Picky Eater.  It is a blog all about how to eat healthy even if you are a person who doesn't like a lot of healthy food.  I really didn't like this blog as much.  It was overly complicated and had way too many pictures.  There would be one or two sentences then another picture.  It was too broken up and had too many complex steps for making the healthy food.  Something like a fruit salad seems like it would be simple.  For someone who is picky already, it is not likely they are going to want to follow a bunch of steps to making something they don't really want to eat to begin with.  It comes off choppy and long, like doing research instead of just casually reading a blog.  On top of that, I don't really care for healthy eating.  So I can say from personal experience that other people like me are probably going to get frustrated and not even finish reading this blog.  So in that way I think it failed to meet its purpose.

On the third blog I read is called "The Daily Dog Blog." I chose it because I love dogs, they tend to bring a smile to my face at any moment of any day. It had a positives and negatives. The positives were that anyone could post at any time, and give their input on their dogs. It was good because you could get variety of opinions on all kinds of pet experiences. The problem  with this would be that you would never know if they are experts or not, or if they are just giving their point of view.
